Eric Guenther

He is the Recreational Tennis Organizer for Northern Oregon for the USTA PNW. As a coach and volunteer at SJRC and PT&E, he is thrilled to be a part of such an amazing organization. He started playing tennis at age 5, and played tennis for Western Washington University, where he was Team Captain for 3 years, and led his team to three consecutive USTA Tennis on Campus National Tournaments. After finishing college, he became USPTA certified and focused on High Performance junior development placing students at the IMG Academy in Bradenton FL, and the Weil Tennis Academy in Ojai California.

After moving down Portland in 2015 to work for the USTA, his focus shifted to community tennis development and to growing the game at a true grassroots level in schools and parks. Through the USTA and PT&E he says is "so very lucky to work with so many amazing kids, families, people, and organization to help spread the love and grow tennis in Portland".
