Serving up Success Summer Program ends

On Thursday, 8/23, we wrapped up our Summer Program with an end of summer party and Todos Tenis play day! Over 100 people celebrated the hard-work of our scholar athletes this summer with a potluck and two hours of tennis. We gave away t-shirts, books, and school supplies at this evening of fun!

The theme of this summer’s program was “Kids in College”. Our Scholar Athletes had the opportunity to choose their classes and learn about subjects they were interested over the course of a three, 3-week terms. Students took classes like “Media and Society”, “The Human Body”, “Going Green” and “Healthy Bodies”.

We added 20 new students this summer and many of them will be joining us for our programming during the academic year. Each student spent 200+ hours learning, exploring and playing at PT&E this summer. They are heading into the school year prepared for success.

A huge thank you to all of the volunteers who supported us this summer, our parents who helped us cooked, our staff for all of their hard work and our donors who made the program possible with their generous support. We are excited for the school year and look forward to seeing our scholar athletes continue to grow and flourish!
