What is Passport Oregon?

Passport Oregon was founded in the Spring of 2016 with the vision to take students and their parents out of the normal day-to-day and into nature. We partner with schools and community groups to identify young Oregonians that lack avenues to adventures in Oregon’s outdoors.  We then gather students into a cohort, and they travel together 2 times a month on various trips around Oregon. In 2018 Passport Oregon became an official program of PT&E and is now completely run by our organization and a corps of dedicated volunteers. We want every Oregonian to experience the state of Oregon.

Over 150 students, including 38 of our Scholar Athletes, have had the chance to explore our beautiful state thanks to this unique outdoor education program. We have visited the Oregon Coast, Mt. Hood, the Columbia River Gorge and Silver Falls among other iconic  locations throughout the state.   Our students have learned how to rock-climb, snow shoe, fish, and canoe.

As we continue to grow the Passport Oregon under the leadership of PT&E we aim to partner with local organizations to give as many youth the opportunity to explore our beautiful state as possible!
