Testimonies

“What you are doing is making a huge difference in the kids' lives, and I hope you realize that. These kids may not realize it initially, but they will realize the opportunities that they have been given [at PT&E] and how much that makes a difference in the path of their lives.”

James Blake, Chairperson
USTA Foundation Board

“The students are immersed in a community at PT&E where civility, sportsmanship, collaboration, and peace are valued, taught, and practiced. Students are mentored in social skills and academic skills. Families are supported in raising their children. Our village gains strength and stability as PT&E continues to nourish and mentor our children.”

Shannon Baker, Teacher
James John Elementary School

“PT&E is my home away from home. Being there gives me a sense of comfort and love because everyone is united like a family. At PT&E my Coach/Tutors have always expected the best from me, so that encourages me to do my best not just on the court but outside in the real world.”

Leilani, Age 14
Program Participant since 2012

My heart is filled with gratitude from the generosity of individuals like you who help advance health and educational equity for underserved youth.

This year, we have been able to celebrate many successes, and it is all thanks to supporters like you. Your contribution lends opportunities for Scholar Athletes, like Alberto, to receive the support they need to excel in life. This past June, Alberto, a Scholar Athlete since 2010, graduated high school with a 3.7 GPA and received an award for his outstanding performance in Spanish. He has completed his first semester at Portland Community College and received a USTA Scholarship for his academic and athletic excellence.

Help us reach our goal of $20,000 this holiday season! By making a gift to Portland Tennis & Education, you have the opportunity to give more than just a donation – you are transforming the lives of youth in our community. Please give as generously as you can, and send your gift today!

Happy Holidays, and thank you for your commitment to Portland Tennis & Education! Together, we are empowering underserved youth to graduate on-time and live healthier, happier lives.

In Gratitude,
