Supporting the whole child on and off the court
After-School Program
Grades K-5: Wrap-around services including academic support, tennis instruction, mental health resources, and family engagement.
Grades 6-12: Individualized tutoring, college and career advising, family support, and tennis training.
Summer Program
Grades K-12: A full-day, nine-week program that provides equitable access to athletics and summer learning opportunities. PT&E’s summer program prevents summer learning loss with age-tailored academic enrichment, physical activity, personal development, and enrichment opportunities.
Our programs are tuition free for families who qualify for Free and Reduced Meals in the state of Oregon. To enroll in PT&E ASP, email program@ptande.org or call (503) 823-3629 during business hours. Registration for summer opens early March and registration for our after-school program opens early July.
Individualized academic support
Program model designed to support each age level through increased individualized attention, targeted staff development, and academic assessments aligned with district learning standards.
Athletic enrichment
Daily tennis and pickleball activities to support active lifestyles, character development through athletics, and foster a love of the games at PT&E.
College and Career Readiness
Our Middle and High School Program helps students develop a personal post-secondary plan, pursuing college and career opportunities with active support and mentorship from staff and volunteers who have navigated similar paths.
Character Building and Life
We lead weekly circle time discussions and a social and emotional learning curriculum. We support development of critical life skills through additional opportunities such as Rockstar Club, gender-specific connection called Female Empowerment Club Boys for Change Club, and financial literacy workshops.
Culturally-relevant lesson plans
We partner with Reading with Relevance, a literacy program that utilizes culturally specific stories in an educational way, and offer all program materials in Spanish and English.
Family EngagemenT
We work alongside families to bridge the gap that exists due to under-resourced schools in our community to support their children’s success, and we create opportunities for families to spend time in community and connect through positive, fun activities.
